Of Purples and Lilacs

Saw these cute notebooks when I was at National Bookstore two days ago and was not able to resist from buying not one, but three of them cute thingies, all with butterfly designs! It's made by King Jim and there are other designs to choose from. I was looking for a design that's related to travel but there's none. And in case you're wondering, yes, I was really planning to buy a small notebook and ballpens hence the visit to the store.

 I'm now using the purple one, together with other things purple/lilac :D. Terno-terno lang :p.

Merry Christmas to me!

This is my Christmas gift to myself :p.

Since I am height-challenged, I need to have my clothes altered. When I was living in Quezon City, I just bring my clothes to a tailoring shop nearby and the seamstress does it for me for a cheap price. However, when I transferred to Pasig, I can't find any tailoring shop nearby. The only option I have are the ones in the malls but they charge too high (the charge for one shirt can already buy a new shirt...insane right?) and you have to wait for at least a week before they're done.

And so I decided to just buy a sewing machine for myself. Anyway, the alterations I require are just to adjust the length of some clothes I buy. I tried with one blouse today and it was a success. I'm just oh so slow hahaha. Maybe I'll sew faster once I get the hang of it.

I bought the machine in SM Makati the weekend before Christmas for Php 3,669.75. The salesman said it was on sale as the original price is around Php 7,000.00. Not bad. Also, the parts are replaceable. The brand is JML. I'll see if I can create other things besides alteration. :p

Braving the Pay day Weekend

It was a pay day weekend so most malls are on sale. My other friend Des, was also planning to go to Megamall on Sunday to check out the sale so we agreed to just meet there. I also messaged Glo to join us. Good thing she was available as well. This time, I didn't have anything on my list. I just wanted to check out how things were hehe.

However, it was one of the mall trips I didn't enjoy much because of the traffic and there were a LOT of people. Unbelievable. It seems that even those from provinces came to check out the sale as well. Glo and I arrived first but we decided to just go to Shang and just meet Des there because the crowd is giving us a headache already. However, Des wasn't able to buy something at Shang so we went back to Megamall, praying that people have thinned out by then. Fortunately, the crowd was more bearable this time. But then Des wasn't lucky enough and wasn't able to buy anything still. We just proceeded to dinner and they went home after. I don't want to wait in line for taxi for long so I just watched a movie first. Good decision. After the movie, I was able to ride a cab without enduring the long line.

Thank God for friends and weekends. :)

Plates

I have been seeing a lot of square-shaped plates lately and I find them cute. Now I'm contemplating on buying a set for me hehe. Hmmm. Magkano kaya? Gastos again hehe.

The Search Is Over for a TV Rack :)

It’s been more than a month now since I have been looking for a TV rack. The old TV rack said goodbye a few days after Typhoon Ondoy when it was subjected to flood water. I’ve searched for different malls several times to no avail. It’s either the racks that I see are too big for my little space or not my color preference. I saw one that can pass at Puregold E. Rodriguez but I did not like it very much so I did not buy it yet. When I went there last weekend, I saw another model but it was already the last piece and it has scratches so it was a no no for me. I was informed though that stocks are coming last Thursday so I opted to just wait a little longer.

So this evening, I paid a visit to Puregold again hoping that this time, I’ll be able to buy one already. It must be my lucky day since they have the model I like but it was already the last piece. Gah! However, it’s still in excellent condition so I bought it right away. It’s for delivery on Monday. Hopefully, I won’t have problems with that. So there, new rack for my newly cable connected TV hehehe.

Patience is really a virtue. :)

Btw, Puregold was also on sale so I bought a set of curtains and some pillow cases. Blue this time hehehe. I was torn whether to buy a Christmas themed throw pillow cover or not. The “tipid mode” me is telling me not to because I’ll only be using it during December but the “gastador” me is pushing me to buy. End result? I did not buy hehehe. I need to think about it further.
